Film Review: Ant-Man

Over the weekend, I went to see Ant-Man with my brother. We've both been wanting to see it for a while so we were really excited to finally go! Ant-Man is the latest film by Marvel and it's about a scientist named Hank Pym, who resigns from Shield after they try to recreate his Ant-Man technology (which shrinks you down to the size of an ant while maintaining density so you're also really strong!). Hank recruits a known burglar, Scott Lang, to become the Ant-Man so he can steal the technology before it gets into the wrong hands.

I loved this film! Paul Rudd is one of my favourite comedy actors in general, but seeing him in a new superhero way was really cool because he still managed to be really hilarious, but also everything you'd expect from a Marvel superhero! I also really love the way the film is shot, when he first shrinks down to the size of an ant, everything looks really cool, seeing things from the perspective on an insect. The best thing about this film is that it doesn't take itself too seriously but at the same time, it doesn't get too silly. Also, Michael Pena is so funny! He makes this film, he has all the best lines! As always, there is a post-credits scene that is definitely worth sticking around for!

So yeah, that's what I thought of the new Ant-Man film! Let me know your thoughts if you've seen the film too! If you enjoyed this post, you can check out more from Film Fanatic!
