Foo Fighters at Sunderland Stadium of Light 25th May 2015

Happy Friday! It's been a while since I blogged but on Monday, my brother & I went to see Foo Fighters live so I wanted to share our experience!

I've been listening to Foo Fighters for about 10 years, I've never seen them live before so when my dad bought us some tickets for Christmas, I was so excited!!

We travelled to Sunderland on Monday afternoon and my and my brother went straight to the Stadium of Light, to join the queue.

We had general admission tickets, which meant that we had access to the entire standing area, aswell as some unreserved seating around the sides.

When the gates into the stadium finally opened, we had a walk around the venue to see what's whats, we bought some merchandise and got some hot dogs while we waited for the first support band.

The first support band were an Irish band called The Strypes. The only had a small set but they were good. The stadium was still pretty empty while they were playing but it got a to busier during the second band. The second band that supported them was The Kaiser Chiefs. I saw them when they supported Green Day in London, so I had an idea of what to expect from them! They played their most popular songs, as well as some new ones, and a cover of Pinball Wizard which went down well!

Finally, at 8.30pm, Foo Fighters came on! They played all the way through until 11pm and they were absolutely amazing! After listening to them for 10 years, it was so weird to see them right there in front of me! I made a music video in college to their song, Monkey Wrench, and now I'm here watching them play it live! I took a load of photos and videos that you can see over on Google + and Flickr and I've also made a YouTube video of our day in Sunderland so you can check it out!

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did! Let me know some of your favourite concerts or bands you have/want to see live!
