Film Review: Jurrasic Park IMAX 3D!

So Odeon are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Jurrasic Park, by releasing it back into the cinemas at IMAX 3D. It's only a limited time only, I'm not exactly sure how long their going to keep showing
for, but our local showing in Manchester was at 10.30am this morning! Jurrasic Park is one of my all time favourite films and my dad loves it too so we couldn't resist the opportunity to go and see it at IMAX 3D. Besides, what else is there to do at 10.30 on a Saturday morning....

As I'm sure you can imagine, it was an incredible experience watching this film on such a large screen. The 3D wasn't about dinosaurs jumping out at your face, it was more about adding depth and making you feel like your actually in Jurrasic Park. The last time I watched this film was about a year ago, on the digitally remastered blu-ray, on just a standard household tv. Even just on that small screen, I still thought considering this film came out in 1993, the special effects and the green screen, it all still looked really current and way ahead of it's time.In the IMAX, all of this was completely enhanced and you could see so much more detail than on a tv, and even with the scale of the screen and the 3D, the special effects and everything still looked incredible. If your a fan of Jurrasic Park then I would recommend you go and watch it while it's still showing! Even if your not, you might change your mind ;)
